Patient Profiles

One of the best ways to learn about vision correction is to talk to, read about, and learn from people who have already had similar care. We invite you to browse here a very broad selection of profiles about our patients.

Our profiles include data on:

  1. Unaided vision before and after treatment;

  2. Prescription before and after treatment;

  3. Age, occupation, and photo (if provided);

  4. Certain special case concerns;

  5. Comments from patients; and

  6. Comments from Dr. Wallace.

We invite you to browse by the various treatment types listed in the 'right rail' (column at right).  Or, to review all patient profiles, simply select one of the featured patients, then the "Next" or "Previous" tabs on the individual profile pages.

These are real people, and their letters speak for themselves. To respect and protect the privacy of these patients, we have identified them only by first name in the letters published here.

I thought long and hard about having my eyesight corrected before I actually did anything about it. I heard a lot of very excited testimonials from friends and coworkers so when I made my decision to do this I met with more than one ophthalmologist. Dr. Wallace was the only one to personally review my eyes and spend the time with me to explain my options and the procedures (for more than a 3 minute consultation). He thoughtfully answered my questions with patience and a smile. He saw me as an individual with an individual case, not a case number.

The personal touch makes all the difference when you are considering something as crucial as your eyesight. But it wasn't just his bedside manners that made my decision easy. It was his experience that inspired me to meet him in the first place.

The day of the surgery Dr. Wallace was very calming, helping me get through the nervous stage leading up to the surgery. He clearly explained each step of the process just before the surgery and broke each part of the procedure down to the minutes and seconds it would take. This greatly helped me during the surgery. Later that afternoon he called to check on my progress and to make sure I didn't have any new questions.

The next day, during the follow-up appointment with both Dr. Wallace and my optometrist, I was told I had 20/20 vision with no scarring. A week later I was diagnosed with 20/15. I am both relieved and amazed every morning when I open my eyes and every night when I don't have to take out my contacts or put on my glasses to read or watch TV.

I highly recommend Dr. Wallace to all my friends and co-workers who ask and I’m happy to talk to anyone thinking of having this procedure.

Dr. Wallace, thank you for this wonderful gift! Most sincerely,

Erin L.
