Dear Dr. Wallace:
First of all, thank you very much for taking time to meet with me. I greatly appreciate your generosity, kindness, and compassion you have provided to me. You’re full of beautiful qualities; simply a beautiful person indeed. I feel that you went out of your way to help my eye not only cosmetically, but my vision as well. You were always ready to help me or answer all my questions, and concerns either in person or over the telephone, always prompt to help. All your staff is amazing, it has been invaluable to me during this process.
After many, many years I finally feel “normal” and confident. As you already know, I had a cataract, and a big scar on my eye since I was little; therefore, my self-image was very low. Now I am 28 years old and I feel amazing. After tattooing my scar, and eliminating the cataract as well I am very impressed with the final results. It’s like a dream come true for me.
In closing, I would like to Thank Dr. Wallace and his staff for taking sincere interest in my case. With such positive attitude DR. Wallace search and found methods to help me. He just wanted me to be happy and satisfied with the results. Dr. Wallace is the Doctor that I’ve been searching for many years. Thank You again!
Sincerely,
Esperanza
Esperanza had a very difficult situation. She had been injured by a sharp instrument at about 5 years of age, and had a traumaric cataract, causing a white appearance to her right pupil. She also had a very apparent corneal scar along the inner (nasal) aspect of the cornea. Because of the very young age at which her original injury occurred, it was unclear how much vision she might recover.
Careful cataract removal and lens implant treatment was rendered, which did significantly improve her vision. The bothersome issue for her was the cosmetic one, and she requested a permanent treatment as she was becoming increasingly unable to wear a cosmetic soft contact lens. We performed a type of special corneal "tattoo" to restore a much more normal appearance to her right eye, and covering up her scar. The photos below might help explain her difficulties.
