Patient Profiles

One of the best ways to learn about vision correction is to talk to, read about, and learn from people who have already had similar care. We invite you to browse here a very broad selection of profiles about our patients.

Our profiles include data on:

  1. Unaided vision before and after treatment;

  2. Prescription before and after treatment;

  3. Age, occupation, and photo (if provided);

  4. Certain special case concerns;

  5. Comments from patients; and

  6. Comments from Dr. Wallace.

We invite you to browse by the various treatment types listed in the 'right rail' (column at right).  Or, to review all patient profiles, simply select one of the featured patients, then the "Next" or "Previous" tabs on the individual profile pages.

These are real people, and their letters speak for themselves. To respect and protect the privacy of these patients, we have identified them only by first name in the letters published here.

I was pretty skeptical when I first heard about LASIK. But I did want to learn more, so when I got Dr. Wallace's postcard in the mail, I decided to go in for a consultation. It sounded almost too good to be true -- no more nearsightedness!

I have a great marriage, three beautiful sons, and a great job. So I wanted to be very cautious, and learn everything possible before making any decision about having any elective eye surgery. I certainly would not want to make any decision I might later regret. So I asked a lot of questions.

Dr. Wallace and his staff were great. They were friendly, helpful, and compassionate. They answered all my questions, let me talk to other people who had LASIK, and invited me to the laser center to watch the surgery. I was impressed.

I had LASIK about 4 months ago now, and it has been great. I still can't believe I can see so clearly. Sometimes I wake up and out of habit reach for my old glasses, then just smile. When you have been nearsighted as I have since first grade, you learn never to take clear vision for granted. I would recommend Dr. Wallace and LASIK to anyone in a similar situation. It's one of the best things I have ever done for myself.
