Patient Profiles

One of the best ways to learn about vision correction is to talk to, read about, and learn from people who have already had similar care. We invite you to browse here a very broad selection of profiles about our patients.

Our profiles include data on:

  1. Unaided vision before and after treatment;

  2. Prescription before and after treatment;

  3. Age, occupation, and photo (if provided);

  4. Certain special case concerns;

  5. Comments from patients; and

  6. Comments from Dr. Wallace.

We invite you to browse by the various treatment types listed in the 'right rail' (column at right).  Or, to review all patient profiles, simply select one of the featured patients, then the "Next" or "Previous" tabs on the individual profile pages.

These are real people, and their letters speak for themselves. To respect and protect the privacy of these patients, we have identified them only by first name in the letters published here.

Doctor Wallace says:

Glen had several conditions that warranted extra counseling and extra care. First, his left eye was a ""lazy eye"" (medical term amblyopia) meaning that even with the best possible prescription, the vision could not be corrected to a ""20/20"" level. We counseled that even after LASIK, he would still have the same limitation (though the vision wouod be much better than without correction before LASIK).

Second, Glen's farsighted prescription is at the upper range of what laser treatment can correct, so we counseled that he might need enhancement care.

Fortunately, Gary had one of those 'fairy-tale' outcomes, and has been thrilled with his results. We, too, are thrilled.
