Patient Profiles

One of the best ways to learn about vision correction is to talk to, read about, and learn from people who have already had similar care. We invite you to browse here a very broad selection of profiles about our patients.

Our profiles include data on:

  1. Unaided vision before and after treatment;

  2. Prescription before and after treatment;

  3. Age, occupation, and photo (if provided);

  4. Certain special case concerns;

  5. Comments from patients; and

  6. Comments from Dr. Wallace.

We invite you to browse by the various treatment types listed in the 'right rail' (column at right).  Or, to review all patient profiles, simply select one of the featured patients, then the "Next" or "Previous" tabs on the individual profile pages.

These are real people, and their letters speak for themselves. To respect and protect the privacy of these patients, we have identified them only by first name in the letters published here.

Marlet T says:

These are my thoughts about LASIK, in my own stream-of-consciousness fashion:

Without a doubt, this is absolutely the best thing I have ever done for myself.

My vision is great under all conditions. It's great at work, outside, and at night.

I can do everything I ever wanted to do! I don't feel limited by my contacts like I used to. Even though I don't swim very much, I know that I used to be nervous about going in the water, afraid that a lens would pop out...

I feel like I got terrific care in Dr. Wallace's hands.

My only regret is that I did not do it sooner!

Dr. Wallace, thanks so much!

Doctor Wallace says:

Marlet had her LASIK in April of '00. We last saw her in October '02, two and a half years after her LASIK. She is doing absolutely fabulously.

Because of her relatively large pupils, we did choose to treat her with the Autonomous laser. We get terrific results and remarkably few complaints about night vision difficulty (which may include glare, halo, poor quality night vision, etc.) with this approach.
