Patient Profiles

One of the best ways to learn about vision correction is to talk to, read about, and learn from people who have already had similar care. We invite you to browse here a very broad selection of profiles about our patients.

Our profiles include data on:

  1. Unaided vision before and after treatment;

  2. Prescription before and after treatment;

  3. Age, occupation, and photo (if provided);

  4. Certain special case concerns;

  5. Comments from patients; and

  6. Comments from Dr. Wallace.

We invite you to browse by the various treatment types listed in the 'right rail' (column at right).  Or, to review all patient profiles, simply select one of the featured patients, then the "Next" or "Previous" tabs on the individual profile pages.

These are real people, and their letters speak for themselves. To respect and protect the privacy of these patients, we have identified them only by first name in the letters published here.

Dr. Wallace & Ruth,

Happy New Year to everyone at your office. I'm sorry it has taken me so long, but it has been a hectic end of the year for me. Along with the usual holiday madness, I have moved to the bay area.

At first, I was very hesitant to have LASIK. I figured it was such a permanent thing and what if the doctor screwed up? After researching the procedure and talking to numerous people who have had the surgery (and were very pleased with the results), I decided to see Dr. Wallace for a consultation. He answered my every question and seemed extremely knowledgeable. In a nutshell, he made me comfortable.

But it still took me nearly a year to decide I was going to have the surgery after I had first spoken to Dr. Wallace. What made me choose to have him perform the procedure was his knowledge and experience; and his wonderful staff. They made me feel at ease and answered all of my questions. What helped the most was being told step by step exactly what was going to happen. That way, I was not kept in the dark about even the tiniest little detail.

The staff was always very friendly, comforting and professional. This all made for an easy surgery and great experience. My fears were calmed knowing I was in good hands. Now I can wake up and see the clock! I don't have to stick a piece of plastic in my eye every morning, or worry about falling asleep with my contacts at night. What freedom to not have to depend on glasses or contacts anymore! The procedure was painless, one that has eased me of just one of life's little pains.

Thank you, Dr. Wallace.
Molly S.
