Patient Profiles

One of the best ways to learn about vision correction is to talk to, read about, and learn from people who have already had similar care. We invite you to browse here a very broad selection of profiles about our patients.

Our profiles include data on:

  1. Unaided vision before and after treatment;

  2. Prescription before and after treatment;

  3. Age, occupation, and photo (if provided);

  4. Certain special case concerns;

  5. Comments from patients; and

  6. Comments from Dr. Wallace.

We invite you to browse by the various treatment types listed in the 'right rail' (column at right).  Or, to review all patient profiles, simply select one of the featured patients, then the "Next" or "Previous" tabs on the individual profile pages.

These are real people, and their letters speak for themselves. To respect and protect the privacy of these patients, we have identified them only by first name in the letters published here.

Dear Dr. Wallace,

Thank you so much for your patience and your skill as a surgeon. My wife, Rabia, has had poor vision for as long as I have known her, but we still weren't sure that LASIK was the best choice. We were both very skeptical, but you never pushed us to rush into anything. We came to you with A LOT of questions and concerns about the surgery, alternatives, and potential side effects.

I really appreciate the fact that you not only answered our questions, but also encouraged us to fully research our options. Thank you for taking the time to educate us about all the options available for correction of extreme nearsightedness.

I still can't believe what a dramatic improvement my wife had after only 11 minutes of surgery (with very little discomfort).

You gave Rabia a wonderful gift...and me, too! We no longer have to deal with contact lenses, solutions, and all of the time, effort, and money that went into using them every day. Now, Rabia can wake up in the morning and see the clock from across the room! Before surgery, she was always afraid to go into the water for fear of breaking or losing her contacts. I can't wait for our next vacation, so we can go jet skiing or snorkeling...without any lenses!
Best Regards,

Jeff A.

Dr. Wallace, Ruth, and staff,

I can’t thank you enough for my clear vision. I spent 13 years wearing glasses or contacts, but it only took about 13 minutes to get rid of them. You and your staff did an excellent job!

Rabia A.
