My contact lenses were driving me crazy and I hated wearing my glasses every day. In July '99 I experienced my last ordeal with contacts. I decided to inquire seriously about LASIK after thinking about it for ages. I checked out several doctors, and knew right away I wanted Dr. Wallace to be my surgeon. He was thorough, gave me specific attention, and his expertise with the latest technology made me confident that he was the right man. What really impressed me was his bedside manner. Having experienced many doctors and some surgeries in my life Dr. Wallace stood out from the rest -- he was gentle, humorous, and made me feel confident throughout the entire process.

The surgery itself was very interesting. I would recommend taking the Valium at least half an hour in advance, for optimal enjoyment. Not to give too much away but I can assure you the surgery is quick, painless, and you'll experience a fast and easy recovery. As soon as I got home I took a short nap and awoke with improved vision. In less that two hours following surgery the world was already extremely clear.

It's been three months since I had the procedure and I still find myself commenting to friends (or to myself, for that matter), that "I love my new eyes." It was the best investment I have ever made and I would recommend Dr. Wallace to everyone whose vision is impaired.
