Specialty Analysis and Problem Solving
In a specialty or subspecialty practice like ours, it's expected that we should have particular expertise in assessing and trouble-shooting certain problems. Our specialty is ophthalmology, which is medical care and surgical treatment of conditions or disorders affecting vision and the eyes. Our sub-specialty is vision correction, including laser vision correction (LASIK, PRK, ASA, etc.) and lens-based surgery (cataract, clear lens replacement, ICL, etc.). We need to not only be experts in providing certain surgical care, but also be able to assess, recognize and treat problems or collateral effects associated with this care. Listed below are some of the common issues that we confront, and a fair bit of information we hope will be helpful.
