MY EYE DOCTOR IN GERMANY WAS IMPRESSED
I am back home in Germany for about two weeks now, and last week I had my one month check-up with my eye doctor in Munich.
When I told her about my plans for LASIK surgery before I left, she was quite skeptical and said something like, “Well, I hope you are aware about the risks; personally I would never do this. Your expectations shouldn´t be too high…”
And now after surgery when she examined my eyes it sounded more like, “Wow! Excellent work! That surgery was so well done, I can hardly see any edges after only one month. Congratulations to my colleague in Los Angeles…”
She told me that I was a perfect 20/20 on both eyes. The slight imperfection in the right eye I had a week after surgery was gone.
When I decided to have my LASIK surgery done in California by Dr.Wallace, I was sure to get a good result, and now it is just perfect.
My attention was turned to LA-Sight by your excellent and very informative web-site, and I can say that you really kept you promises and came up to all my expectations.
You can imagine how happy and grateful I am right now. Many, many thanks to all of you !
I will come back to Los Angeles next January or February for my “one year after” check-up.
Kindest regards,
Anja B.
PS: The Video of my surgery was highly successful among my friends and family,my husband is just putting it on DVD.
PPS: I am very proud to be one of the “”stars”” on your website!
Doctor Wallace says:
Congratulations, Anja!
We are delighted to hear that you are doing so well. Thank you for the update. If you do ever have any questions, problems or difficulties, you can call or email me at any time.
We look forward to seeing you when you can next get back to Los Angeles. Until then, be well and enjoy your new vision!
It is flattering that people would think enough of me to come from great distances — even other countries — to have me provide their care. It is also a profound responsibility. While the results of LASIK are very dramatic and almost immediate, I firmly believe that it is critically important to maintain a relationship with every patient for a long period after their treatment. Complications are fortunately very rare in the hands of good surgeons, but even the most highly-regarded surgeon will have an occasional patient with questions, difficulties, or consequences requiring subsequent attention and possibly additional care. In the modern era, we can stay in touch by phone or email, and be reachable 24/7/365. I stress to all patients — especially those that travel significant distance to receive care — the importance of staying in touch and maintaining a relationship.
