NO HALOS, NO NIGHT VISION TROUBLE
I had wanted LASIK for years, but was too afraid to get it done. After all, these are our eyes and you only get one pair, even if they were 20/400 with pretty bad astigmatism. I was so nervous, in fact, that I waited 9 months after I had my initial consultation before I actually scheduled the surgery.
My brother had his eyes done several years ago at a different facility (and I stress the word “facility”) and he was happy but sometimes complained of night halos. He also had a bit of trouble with his night vision in general. That was a little bothersome, but as I’ve heard so often in my research and quest for the perfect doctor…you have to take the surgeon and equipment into consideration when getting this done. I’m so glad I did!
Doctor Wallace was recommended by two different people that have had great long-term success with LASIK. I don’t know what was I so worried about. The process was completely painless. There were several technicians as well as the doctor that tested and re-tested me so completely that we were all sure everything was accurate. The entire surgery process took about five minutes, with less than two of those minutes going to the actual Lasik procedure itself.
As the good doc escorted me from the room, he parted the curtains and I clearly read the bank sign across the street. WOW!! I’m seeing a tad better than 20/20 now and I couldn’t be happier.
Thanks again to you, Doctor Wallace and your whole crew!! I have no halos, no trouble with night vision at all, and my eyes feel great in general. I had my surgery exactly two and a half weeks ago.
