“I can’t believe how good my vision has become since having LASIK.”
I am so, so, so, SO happy. After I got the surgery, the migraines I used to get, above the eye lid and the whole forhead, never happened again. I would be in so much pain, I would stay in bed a whole day, I couldn’t work, I would have to be in the dark. Somehow I knew it had to do with my vision, but since I had glasses, I couldn’t figure it out.
I will see you in 6 months for my check up. Have a wonderful day.

Doctor Wallace says:
While I am very pleased for Catherine, I should point out that there is no scientific evidence suggesting any association between frequency or severity of vascular headaches (including migraine, cluster headache, etc.) and vision correcting laser care. Catherine did have moderate astigmatism which was nicely corrected by our treatment, but it is probably coincidence that she has not experienced any migraine headaches since her surgery.
We who provide vision corrective care do get to be the messengers of some very good news for many people that we treat. However, we should be careful not to take too much credit personally — after all, it is the computer-guided, computer-controlled laser that does much of the work!
