I SENT ALL MY HARLEY FRIENDS HERE

I SENT ALL MY HARLEY FRIENDS HERE

I had heard a lot about the new laser vision correction, but did not, until recently, see a doctor about having the surgery myself. I know Dr. Wallace through a mutual friend. When I went to see him, I asked all the usual questions, then put him on the spot, wanting to know what my chances were for a perfect outcome. First he gave me the respectable, professional answers to my questions. Then he laughed and said, “Doug, you’re bigger than me, and you hang with a pretty tough crowd. If I do anything less than a perfect job, you’ll bring your buddies down here and kick my butt.” I like it when doctors give me that kind of respect. I had LASIK on both eyes, and now see great! I still sent my Harley friends down to pay him a visit, but only to get advice about their own vision correction!

Doctor Wallace says:
I explained to Doug that we could correct both eyes perfectly for distance, but he would then need reading glasses for comfortable close vision after LASIK. I showed him other options including monovision (one eye fully corrected for distance, the other slightly undercorrected, to allow greater comfort for close up). Doug didn’t like the prospect of monovision because of the imbalance between the two eyes, and wanted full distance correction for both. He felt that would afford him the greatest comfort for riding his motorcycle, and I agreed (it also gives him optimum depth perception). We aimed for full distance correction, and got exactly that. One week after surgery, he told me, “Doc, I can see a pimple on a gnats ass at 100 yards, but I can’t see squat up close.” With a pair of +1.75 power off-the-rack reading glasses, his close vision is perfect. He is extremely happy with the result. Needless, to say, so am I!
