I was pretty skeptical when I first heard about LASIK. But I did want to learn more, so when I got Dr. Wallace’s postcard in the mail, I decided to go in for a consultation. It sounded almost too good to be true — no more nearsightedness!
I have a great marriage, three beautiful sons, and a great job. So I wanted to be very cautious, and learn everything possible before making any decision about having any elective eye surgery. I certainly would not want to make any decision I might later regret. So I asked a lot of questions.
Dr. Wallace and his staff were great. They were friendly, helpful, and compassionate. They answered all my questions, let me talk to other people who had LASIK, and invited me to the laser center to watch the surgery. I was impressed.
I had LASIK about 4 months ago now, and it has been great. I still can’t believe I can see so clearly. Sometimes I wake up and out of habit reach for my old glasses, then just smile. When you have been nearsighted as I have since first grade, you learn never to take clear vision for granted. I would recommend Dr. Wallace and LASIK to anyone in a similar situation. It’s one of the best things I have ever done for myself.
