Doctor Wallace says:
Gary originally had his LASIK in August, ’00 at one of the large corporate laser centers that is now bankrupt and closed. He came to me 22 months after his primary surgery, concerned that his vision was not “as clear as right after the surgery.”
We found that his refraction measured as follows:
Right eye: -0.50 -0.25 x 30
Left eye: -0.50.-0.25 x 11
I advised Gary that this amount of “drift” in the prescription was normal and not unexpected in the almost 2 years since his initial care. This is because the eyes can change slowly over time, unrelated to LASIK. We chose to plan enhancement care for both eyes.
After the enhancement (in July ’02), Gary observed that his vision was better, but that there was a small shadow in the peripheral vision on the right eye. I noticed a small area where cells had started to grow under the flap, and so removed them in a relatively easy, 5-minute process.
Since then, Gary’s vision has been “Unbelievably clear”. He is very happy, as am I.
