After a year of considerable research on numerous Lasik eye doctors and centers, I selected Dr. Wallace based on his credentials, experience and “bed-side” manner. Having worn glasses from the 4th grade through high school, and then contacts for the next 30 years, I was tired of the dependency. I had the usual trepidation and anxiety that most everyone has when deciding whether to have Lasik, not wanting to lose your eyesight or whatever limited eyesight you do have. From the initial consultation, pre-op and throughout the surgery, Dr. Wallace made me feel extremely comfortable, and I had all the confidence in the world with him.
Within 24 hours after surgery, I could not believe that I could drive myself to the post-op visit, see almost 20/20 and have such clarity of vision. I am hoping that my son, who is a doctor, will have Dr. Wallace perform the surgery, and realize for himself how wonderful it is to see when you awake and how much you miss when your “eyes” aren’t in.
