FINANCIAL ADVISOR, LASIK IS WORTH IT
I’m a big Batman fan. Funny how that influences certain decisions in life. I was trying to decide who to go to for laser eye care. I checked out several of the “big names” on the West side. I liked Dr. Wallace right away (and truth be known, I really liked his laser coordinator Ruth, too!). Then I noticed he had an autographed poster signed by Bob Kane, the creator of Batman. Turns out he had cared for Mr. Kane, and had been given the poster in grateful thanks. My decision was made!
LASIK is the greatest! I mean, I was virtually blind before, and now I can see! What more can you ask?
I am by profession an estate planning attorney. I help people plan for their futures and for the financial concerns of their loved ones. But if asked, I’d advise that LASIK is more than worth the expense; and if you are thinking about it, you should definitely do it!”
Doctor Wallace says:
Jeff is too kind! He failed to mention that he did experience some early regression (loss of effect) after his LASIK. We had to help him with an enhancement about 6 or 7 months after his original care. Now close to 8 months after the touch-up, his vision has remained very sharp and clear. Enhancement is occasionally necessary, and I tell all patients that the chances they may need one are in the range of 5 to 8% within one year. Enhancement rates are lower for persons with relatively low magnitude of nearsightedness (up to –4.00 or so), and are a little higher for persons with very high amounts of myopia or astigmatism.
