BIONIC WOMAN VISION

BIONIC WOMAN VISION

I just wanted to say how delighted I am with my “Bionic Woman” vision in the left eye. I promised Ruth I’d write a note which you can use on the website if you wish. Here it is!

I am absolutely delighted following LASIK surgery on my left eye which, combined with a contact lens for reading on my right eye means I don’t need glasses for reading, driving — or anything. The procedure was painless– almost fun — and I greatly appreciated the kindness of the entire staff at LA Sight. Like so many people, I only wish I had done it sooner.

–

Kathy

Doctor Wallace says:
Kathy’s experience is illustrative of several good points.

First, she is in the presbyopic age group (almost everyone over age 45, that is). She has been comfortable wearing a contact lens only in her left eye, allowing her to achieve good distance vision with this eye. Without correction in the right eye her close vision is outstanding, so she uses this eye for near work.

Her experience also points out that I endeavor where possible to get the best results from the least amount of intervention. I agreed with Kathy that we shouldn’t touch the right eye — leave well enough alone! This cuts the costs in half, and eliminates completely any risks associated with surgical care for the right eye.

It’s nice when everything works out exactly as planned, and end up with results that make people as happy as we did here.

Dr. Wallace

PS: Kathy writes, “combined with a contact lens for reading on my right eye means I don’t need glasses for reading, driving — or anything.” I think she meant to say that her right eye sees clearly for reading (and near tasks) but that with a contact lens in the right eye she sees perfectly at distance in both eyes.
