The staff at L.A. Sight is professional and courteous. Dr. Wallace and his technicians all helped me make informed decisions about whether to pursue LASIK. At age 48, my farsighted vision was continuing to decline. I enjoy target rifle shooting and was finding it increasingly more difficult to see the target rings without corrective vision. After having the procedure, my vision is now 20/15 (my right eye is closer to 20/10).
Having had the surgery, I am able to see so much more detail of the beauty of landscapes and foliage. I don’t remember ever having had such clarity in my farsighted vision.
Like many people, I was a bit squeamish about having something cut on my eye tissue. The amazing thing was how quick and painless everything was. The Allegretto machine did an amazing job. The entire process while under the machine was less than five minutes.
As Dr. Wallace predicted, there is a slight compromise in my reading vision. So far I’m able to adjust by moving reading materials a bit farther away without a need for reading glasses. But, for the increase in my distance vision, the tradeoff was well worth it.
