It’s been six months since my surgery and I’m holding steady at 20/15 in both eyes! Not bad. I’m pushing 40 and can see better now than ever in my life. What’s even better? No more tired, sore eyes at the end of the day from my contacts. No more fuzzy lights at night. No more saline solution, contact lens containers, spare glasses. I’m free!
I used to nervously joke that if I were suddenly forced to live in a “survival of the fittest” environment, I’d be toast. Eventually, I’d lose my glasses or contacts and become the equivalent of the slowest gazelle at the watering hole. Now, I’m sitting top of the food chain!
Thanks for everything. I could not have had a better experience from start to finish.
Initially, when asked, I was a little embarrassed to tell my friends that I found you on the internet; but that’s where it all started. I was looking around on the web for general LASIK information and stumbled upon your site. Not only was it the most informative, one-stop place for all the questions I had, but the website layout was clean, simple and stylish. No other site even came close.
I decided to call. During my research, I had made a couple of calls to other Lasik offices where I felt like I was either getting a fast/pressure sales pitch or was bothering the person on the phone with my questions so I was immediately impressed by Norma’s demeanor on the phone from your offices. She was pleasant, direct and patient. Eventually, she suggested that since I was nearby I come down, get a free exam (to see if I was even a candidate), check out the offices and meet with you. It was all free, (other places I called charged for this); I had the afternoon off, you had an opening and there was no obligation.
I figured, What the heck? Why not? Two hours later, sitting in the LA SIGHT offices, I was immediately taken by the interior design, thinking how “Star Trek” cool it all looked: Sleek, clean and state-of-the-art but still warm and inviting. I also noted how friendly and warm everyone who worked there was. I had my exam, learned I was a perfect candidate and agreed to meet with you. (I was actually surprised that I would have the opportunity to see the operating doctor, himself. Other places couldn’t even be sure of the exact doctor that might be performing my procedure let alone would I be able to meet with them beforehand).
After what seemed like a very long and thorough consultation (probably wasn’t more than 15 minutes, but I’m used to doctors rushing in and out in 5 mins) I was sold. You were direct and patient. You explained the cost upfront. You didn’t try to hide anything. You even advised against spending the extra money for the more expensive “Wavefront” surgery since my eyes didn’t have the problems that kind of surgery is best for.
UPDATE: Okay, It’s now almost three years since my surgery and I still see perfectly!
Thank you. Thank you.

Marcus is one of the nicest guys you might have the pleasure of meeting. Me is also a top-notch writer and former pro beach volleyball player. So he’s pretty demanding, has high standards, and carries high expectations both for himself and those around him.
It is a pleasure to be able to make a guy like this so happy with his visual results. He had his treatment in July of ’04 so is now 7 months out, and doing spectacularly well. Perfect vision, no halo or glare at night, no problems whatsoever.
