SNORKELING. SURFING. SWIMMING.
Snorkeling. Surfing. Swimming. Seeing. Dr. Wallace made my dreams come true. This surgery really works, and miracles do happen.
I could not have been more nervous to get this procedure done. I am an actress (currently starring on ABC’s award-winning ALIAS) so, I kinda really need my eyes to do my work, but c’mon, who doesn’t? Anyway, I am a conservative and cautious person, so I think I had at least three consultations with Dr. Wallace before I committed to get Lasik. I asked him every question in the book including what happens if it doesn’t take, what happens if there’s an earthquake or if either one of us sneezes during the procedure. He was extremely patient, kind, and understanding and I don’t often find that with doctors. I was never rushed in or rushed out. Everyone on his staff treated me so well and really cared about my needs and worries. I felt I was in the right hands.
The entire process took all of 10 minutes. I woke up the next morning with 20/15 vision and burst into tears. You know when you get that new prescription and everything looks so detailed and clear? That’s what it’s like. ALL THE TIME. Dr. Wallace started cheering and said I got the “fairy tale” result.
Now, I can do all those activities I couldn’t do or was afraid to do without being able to see clearly. I don’t have to pack glasses, and contacts, and saline when I travel. I wake up and I am free. I can see.
I say do it now. Let the freedom begin. You are in the best hands with Dr. Wallace.

Merrin had her LASIK in April, ’02. We saw her last this past August. She’s doing phenomenally!
