Doctor Wallace says:
Monica is a very smart, energetic and enthusiastic woman who had checked out a ton of info about LASIK in general, and my office in particular, before coming in. She chose to have LASIK on December 30th. ’02. On the day after surgery, though the vision measured “20/25” on the chart, it was not “clear”. For unexplained reasons, she had developed slight slippage in, and wrinkles of the flaps in both eyes. We smoothed out the flaps (if treated early this is a simple, 2-minute process), and by the next day (New Year’s Day) the clarity was noticeably better.
Her vision has remained exquisitely clear and stable since the surgery. Monica has no glare, night vision difficulty, or halo around lights. When we saw her this past September, she had a big smile on her face, and informed me that she was 6 months pregnant. Jokingly, she said, “Doc, that LASIK is amazing…we got pregnant within weeks of your care..”
Congratulations, Monica. May you have great vision and great kids!
