I’M 55, AND CAN READ LINE 1 ON THE CARD
I had LASIK on 7/27/00. Prior to surgery, both eyes had profound myopia, astigmatism, and presbyopia. On 10/27/00 1 measured at 20/20 minus left, 20/30 right, 20/20 bilateral, for distance. For reading, with the 1 fine to 11 large print reading card, I read off 1 and felt that I could have read 0 if it was on the card.
I am like a kid with a new bike! I can not adequately express my appreciation to you, not only for your superb skill as a surgeon, but for your care. You have so many procedures, I don’t know if you can specifically recall me. I’m 55 and have a low IGA and had experienced post surgical staph and alpha strep infections with two prior hospital surgeries. To complicate things further, I asked you to fine-tune the monovision focal shift so that I could return to playing seniors baseball.
Your carefulness in preventing infection was successful. Though I had a couple of minor post surgical complications, they were expertly managed by your office to a virtually perfect result.
Besides thanking you personally, I would appreciate it if you would pass on my appreciation to your entire staff. My wife commented that she had never encountered an organization with nicer, universally competent people. Everyone was just terrific!
47 years ago, I was the first kid in my 3rd grade class to get glasses. I have not had clear corrected vision for the past 5 years. I owe you a debt I will never be able to repay. If there is ever anything I can do for you, please don’t fail to call upon me.
God bless,
Rich W.
NOTE: Rich was seen most recently in July, 2002. His vision is still perfect for reading in the right eye, and great for distance in the left.
