MONOVISION WORKED INSTANTLY
My extreme nearsightedness was discovered at the age of 5. When I could not see the Goodyear blimp flying overhead, we knew there was a problem. First I wore glasses, and then contacts for many, many years.
When I first came to Dr. Wallace a few years ago, I had already visited other specialists. He took the initiative and went way out of his way to consult with the others in an effort to determine the best procedure for my special circumstances.
When the first correction did not turn out exactly right, I became a bit skeptical. But we stuck with the goal, and he completed the touch up work as necessary over the course of a year to achieve perfection – all as part of the original price.
Now, at age 65, for the first time ever my vision is corrected to 20/20 in both eyes.
Like many older people, I developed presbyopia. Constantly putting on and taking off reading glasses so I could see the computer and alternately look out the window was a giant pain. I did not believe mono vision would work. Surely seeing distance primarily out of one eye and reading mainly out of the other would cause headaches and lead to stress from trying to focus. To my pleasant surprise, mono vision worked instantly. Like loading a new version of software onto your computer, my brain instantly compensated for the change and difference. Worked fine from the very first moment.
I hope this is helpful to others who may seek vision correction care.
